Hunt House Creative Arts Center is a music & arts school and performance space in the heart of downtown St. Charles, IL.

Our mission is to enrich the community with our passion for music and songwriting by creating a nurturing space centered around connection and creative expression. With a focus on personal expansion, peer support and inclusivity, we aim for each student to feel seen + heard.

Hunt House offers private and group lessons for kids, teens and adults. Reach out to us if you’re interested in learning more about any of the following:

  • We offer private piano lessons for all levels. We teach traditional piano lessons mixed with contemporary + jazz instruction for an in-depth music education that can be applied to all instruments.

  • We offer private + group lessons, or a combination of both. We have contemporary, classical, jazz and musical theater voice teachers and plenty of performance experience to polish the skills acquired.

  • We offer private guitar lessons for all levels. Our guitar teachers have been performing professionally for decades and are qualified to teach every style imaginable!

  • We offer private ukulele lessons for all levels. It’s a great instrument to learn before taking guitar lessons as a lot of the strumming and fretting techniques can be applied!

  • We offer private electric bass lessons and also provide opportunities to form a band within the student body based on the style of music the student is the most passionate about!

  • We offer private drum lessons for all ages and also provide opportunities to form bands with other students based on the preferred style of music. A basic understanding of the drums can help enhance a sense of rhythm that can be applied to all musical endeavors, including dancing!

  • We offer private songwriting instruction, which encourages collaboration, self-expression and peer support to turn ideas into fully formed songs. Our intimate performance space is available for songwriters to share original music on a regular basis.

  • Learn all the ins and outs of being in a great band from conducting a rehearsal, making a set list, running soundcheck, promoting a show, creating posters + stage plots, contacting venues, etc! Our staff knows ALL about being in bands of all sizes and styles.

  • Learn all things Ableton! Ableton is a music production software where you can create your own beats and record your own songs.
