Ryan Weaver’s new quintet pushes the boundaries and ideals of common jazz practice. Featuring fiery players from across the Chicagoland area, this young quintet demonstrates talent that defies their age. The Ryan Weaver Quintet will engage the audience with an explosive performance featuring compositions by Wayne Shorter, Woody Shaw, and John Coltrane, while also bringing a modern spark to their performance with Sharel Cassity, Esperanza Spalding, and Roy Hargrove originals.
